Anantnag: An elderly man reportedly affiliated with National Conference was shot at and injured in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Reports said that gunmen opened fire on Muhammad Ismail (60) in Thajiwara village, leaving him injured.
He was shifted to sub-district hospital Bijbehara where he was referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Reports said that Ismail was the zonal president of the National Conference, further details are awaited.
