Guv, CM, others condole Nerella’s demise

Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today expressed grief over the demise of world-famous mimicry artiste and former MLC Padmasri Dr Nerella Venu Madhav. They conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary SK Joshi to conduct State funeral.

Expressing heartfelt sympathies, the Chief Minister described Nerella as a doyen of mimicry and irreparable loss to the art. To mark Telangana State Formation Day, the State government honored him.

Kadiam, Kavitha mourn Nerella

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today condoled the death of renowned mimicry artiste Nerella Venu Madhav. He said Nerella has got recognition and added colour to the mimicry art and served it for life time. Srihari conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed God that Nerella’s soul rest in peace.

TRS MP Kavitha expressed shock at the sudden demise of Venu Madhav. She said Nerella was the proud son of Telangana State. With his demise, the entire mimicry world has gone dumb stuck, she said, adding the artiste performed in Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and Tamil languages. Kavitha extended her sympathies to the bereaved family members.
