Hyderabad: Telangana Hajj Committee has so far received 16232 applications for Hajj 2018, while December 22 is the last date for submission of applications.
Special officer Telangana Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor told that 455 applications have been received under reserved category. The aspirants under reserved category will be selected without draw. Special counters have been set up at Hajj House Nampally for guidance of applicants.
Prof. Shukoor further informed that further extension of date is not likely.
Pilgrims of Andhra Pradesh and 5 districts of Karnataka will embark from Hyderabad.
Drawing of lots for Telangana will be held anywhere during January 8 to 15. Prof. told that efforts are on to ensure accommodation for more number of pilgrims in Rubat.
