Harikrishna last rites with State honours on Thursday

Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao today condoled the death of Nandamuri Harikrishna by placing wreaths on the body at the latter’s residence in Mehdipatnam here this afternoon.

First Chief Minister KCR and then Governor ESL Narasimhan visited the residence of Harikrishna at Mehdipatnam and consoled the family members of the actor-politician. Harikrishna met with a fatal accident at Narketpally in Nalgonda district in the morning hours when he reportedly lost control of the car he was driving and hit a road divider.

They consoled the family members, including Junior NTR, Kalyan Ram, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and others at the residence of Harikrishna. The body was shifted from Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally after an autopsy after the car accident occurred at Anneparti village.

The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary SK Joshi to take steps for his last rites by contacting the family members with State honours. IT & MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao said the last rites of Harikrishna will be performed at Maha Prasthanam at Jubilee Hills on Thursday. Necessary arrangements were being made to avoid inconvenience to the people to pay their last respects to the departed soul, he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, IT Minister KT Rama Rao, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others paid respects to Harikrishna’s body.
