Prestigious Kaleshwaram project will be completed in 20 months Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said. Reviewing the irrigation works after his two-day visit to the site here he said that Governor ESL Narasimhan has appreciated the speed of the works of the project. The Governor was surprised to see the project works and appreciated him and the officials he said. The Centre has accorded all permissions for the project and it can be attributed to the efforts of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao he said.
We are using latest technology and involved officials and work agencies to work in three shifts he said. Medigadda project will be completed in 2018 he said. KCR selected Medigadda area for development as the CWC clarified that Tammidihatti area with Pranahitha-Chevella design lacks water availability. Harish further said that canals of Sundilla, Annaram will be completed by June and July. Kaleshwaram lift will provide irrigation waters to 40000 acres in Manthani and efforts are on to make it a tourist spot he added. (NSS)
