Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said that the government will complete all the projects on a war-footing to bring under irrigation all the crops in a phased manner.
The minister addressed a meeting after releasing Godavari waters from Nawabpet Reservoir in Lingal Ghanapuram mandal. Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, MLAs G Sunitha, M Yadagiri Reddy, Rajaiah, E Dayakar Rao and others were present. Speaking on the occasion the minister promised to give more funds to the projects and complete Devadula on time to supply irrigation waters to the crops.
He said that the district administration and leaders to coordinate for the speedy completion of the projects. The government is ready to give adequate funds for turning green the lands to irrigate one crore acres as planned over a period of five years he said. (NSS)
