Hassan Rouhani’s visit to Hyderabad: CS reviews arrangements

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S K Joshi today directed the officials to make elaborate security arrangements for the two-day official visit of Iran President Dr. Hassan Rouhani to the city on February 15 and 16.

Joshi called a high-level meeting with officials at Secretariat and reviewed the arrangements being made for the visit of Iran President. “Provide total security, ensure traffic regulation, protocol and make all arrangements to welcome the guest”, he asked the officials. He also asked the officials to make specific arrangements of Customs and Immigration wings at Begumpet Airport, where the Iran President will be landing.

The Centre deputed its Power & Renewable Energy Minister RP Singh to welcome the guest. Hassan Rouhani will be making an official visit to the famous Salar Jung Museum and Mecca Masjid as part of his itinerary, Joshi said. “This tour will surely improve the bilateral ties between Hyderabad and Iran”, he said.

Iran Consulate General Mohammad Haghbin Ghomi also spoke. Hassan Rouhani is coming with a team of 21 delegates and is to hold a meeting with locally settled Irani people in Hyderabad. (NSS)
