I hate the word ‘plus sized girls’ : Bumi Pednekar

Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress Bhumi Pednekar feels glad about the fact that plus sized actors and models are now being given equal love and respect.

Speaking on Day 2 of India Couture Week in Delhi, Bhumi, 27, said, “I think it’s amazing the way our trend is changing, the way the fashion industry is changing, films are changing.

The plus sized girls and boys are actually being accepted with lot of love and thank god that time has come where we really don’t really judge people on their superficial value. It’s amazing that we have these big international pop stars that are now giving a chance to look bigger women who look equally beautiful and sensuous.

It is amazing that we have lines now for plus sized girls though I hate the word ‘plus sized girls’ but I think that’s the only language people genuinely understand. It’s great and a very welcoming change.”

Bhumi, who now looks fabulous after losing oodles of weight after her first film, also revealed the ways to lose weight. “It’s honestly what you eat and it is very important to exercise. These are the basics that we have always been told.

And it’s these basics that work. So get off your chair and go hit the gym and eat clean food,” she said.

At the ongoing FDCI India Couture Week, Bhumi extended support to the ace designer Anita Dongre and sported her creation for Day 2.

On the professional front, the actress is currently filming Manmarziyan along with Ayushmann Khurrana.
