HC to hear Prabhas’ guest house dispute case on Friday

Hyderabad: A division bench of Hyderabad High Court will hear the petition filed by Tollywood actor Prabhas against the decision of Hyderabad Revenue authorities to confiscate his guest house located in Panmakta village in Rayadurg mandal on Friday.

The Court issued orders following its mention by the counsel of the actor. While referring to the case, the counsel of the actor told the court that the Revenue authorities had seized the actor’s guest house spread across 2,083 sq.yds situated in Sy.No. 5/3 of the village without serving any notice on the actor and not following principles of natural justice.

In his petition, the actor claimed that he had brought the property from one B. Vaishnavi Reddy, Usha and Bommireddy Shashank Reddy in the year 2005. He stated there was no dispute over the property when he bought it. He further said he had also applied to the State government for land regularization by paying Rs 1.05 crore towards the fee. He submitted to the court that his application had been under consideration. He claimed that the Revenue officials have suddenly came to him and asked him to vacate the land by citing it as government land and the Supreme Court order.
