HC stays cancellation of registration of wakf property at Bandlaguda

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court issued stay order on the cancellation of registrations of Bandlaguda wakf properties and ordered TS Wakf Board to file a counter within 15 days.

It may be mentioned that some persons had prepared forged documents and sold the plots.

Wakf board cancelled all the 29 registrations. Justice Praveen kumar heard the arguments of both the parties about registration proceedings.

The lawyer of Wakf Board, Mr. M.A Mujeeb told the Court that Wakf Board has the powers to cancel registrations.

According to the report, a former employee of Wakf Board in 1992 had manipulated the wakf records and excluded some survey numbers of wakf properties. Later, some persons got their names registered as owners.

Mr. Mohammed Saleem. Chairman and Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim CEO of Wakf Board took Special interest to protect wakf property.
