Swamy Goud was immediately rushed to Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital immediately after the end of session. He has been admitted for further tests to determine the full nature of the injury. According to hospital authorities, Goud would be discharged depending upon the nature of injury and possible treatment.

Meanwhile, Deputy CM Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy and other TRS ministers and legislators visited the hospital to meet Goud. Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Deputy CLP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy also met Swamy Goud at the hospital.

Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy has strongly condemned the incident and demanded stern action against Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkatreddy who was seen throwing a headphone at the Governor which hit Swamy Goud. He said Speaker Madhusudan Chary has the right to take action against Komatireddy and no other legal action could be taken as the incident took place in the premises of Legislative Assembly. He alleged that the Congress legislators have tried to attack the Governor, but their taget got missed and hit the Council Chairman.

On the other side, Congress leaders have denied allegations of attacking Swamy Goud. They said they were only protesting against the non-mention of farmers’ suicide and other key issues in the Governor’s address.
