Heat wave intensifies in Hyderabad: Met office releases advice

Hyderabad: According to the forecast of Met office, the heat wave is likely to continue for another 3-4 days. It has advised the people to stay at home from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The highest temperature of 46°C was recorded at Ramagundum. Hyderabad recorded at43.6° C. For the past few days, heat has suddenly increased. Many people have fallen sick due to it. Met office officials and doctors have advised people to refrain from going out of their houses from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Employees going to their offices should start for office at 9 a.m. They should come back home after heat decreases. Old age persons are advised not to come out of their houses. Pet animals should not be allowed to go out.

If it becomes essential to come out of the houses, it is advised that people should cover their heads. They should also wear light cotton clothes and should drink more water irrespective of feeling thirsty. They should dissolve sugar or salt in water. People have also been advised to take fruit juice and coconut water.
