The Heavy Rain created havoc in the city on Saturday. The daily life has come to a halt as Hyderabad causing water logging at main spots and electrical breakdowns.
Vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt across the city. At several places, Rain water flooded the low-lying areas. The rain hit Charminar, Yakutpura, Dabeerpura, Uppuguda, Santhosh Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Puranapool, Ziaguda, Mehdipatnam, Banjara Hills, Somajiguda, Yousufguda, Punjagutta, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Nampally, Koti, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Hayatnagar, Uppal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, ECIL and other places. several colonies in Kukatpally, Bowenpally, Malkajgiri, ECIL, Mehdipatnam, Nallakunta, Santosh Nagar, Puranapul and Dilsukhnagar reported water-logging within minutes of the thunder-showers. Low lying areas were inundated as rain water started gushing from nalas.
During the four-hour long mayhem unleashed by the rains, GHMC officials struggled to clear water-logged areas, according to GHMC officials.
