Hero MotoCorp’s Q3 standalone net profit up 4.3%

Mumbai: Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday reported a 4.32 per cent year-on-year rise in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2017.

According to the company, its net profit during the period under review increased to Rs 805.43 crore from Rs 772.05 crore reported in Q3 2016-17.

The company’s total income during Q3 2017-18 rose by 5.47 per cent to Rs 7,415.51 crore from Rs 7,030.57 crore earned during the corresponding period of 2016-17.

“… Our strategic initiatives in the scooter segment – including the on-ground activation programmes – yielded the desired results by driving sales volumes…, ” Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Hero MotoCorp said.

He added: “It is important that we grew in all key performance parameters… bucking the severe headwinds on the commodities front.”
