Highest and lowest victory margins in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s nephew T. Harish Rao won the Siddipet seat by over 1.18 lakh votes, the highest in the state. Another candidate of the same party scraped through in Ibrahimpatnam by a margin of just 376 votes.

Harish, who was Irrigation Minister in KCR’s cabinet, defeated his nearest rival Bhavani Marikanti of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) with a majority of 1,18,699 votes.

Harish polled 1,31,295 votes, while Bhavani got just 12,596 votes.

In Ibrahimpatnam constituency, TRS candidate Manchireddy Kishan Reddy defeated his nearest rival Malreddy Ranga Reddy of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) by 376 votes. Kishan Reddy polled 72,581 votes, while Ranga Reddy, who contested as BSP candidate after Congress party denied him the ticket, secured 72,205 votes.
