Hindu Mahasabha website hacked; here’s why

New Delhi: The website of the right-wing organisation Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha was hacked by a group who identified themselves as Kerala Cyber Warriors. It happened a day after the organisation commemorated Mahatma Gandhi martyrdom day as ‘Shaurya Divas’ by shooting an air gun at an effigy of the father of the nation.

As reported by The Week, the hackers wrote “Hindu Mahasabha Murdabad” on the landing page, along with a message which read: “Gandhi ji always remained an inspiration for people globally to follow right path, the path of non violence in all their actions.”

The hackers also posted a quote of the late leader. “Nobody can hurt me without my permission. An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”

It must be recalled that in Aligarh, Pooja Shakun Pandey, a woman leader of the outfit, had fired at an effigy of Gandhi with an air pistol on the occasion of his 71st death anniversary. The video of the event went viral on social media. A case has been registered against her and other 12 persons. However, no arrests have been made so far.
