Hong Kong stocks start with gains

Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks edged up in the opening exchanges on Thursday, tracking a positive lead from Wall Street.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.25 percent, or 67.17 points, to 27,075.37.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.14 percent, or 3.64 points, to 2,584.65, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, put on 0.10 percent, or 1.26 points, to 1,317.54.
