Honjo International Scholarship Foundation invites applications from foreign graduate and post graduate students who are willing to study in Japanese graduate schools for earning a doctoral degree.
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must –
— Not possess Japanese citizenship.
— Be registered or applying for a graduate school in Japan starting from April 1, 2018.
— Have been born after 31 March 1982 (for students enrolling in a PhD program).
— Have been born after 31 March 1987 (for students enrolling in Master’s program).
— Have a deep understanding of international goodwill and friendship.
— Be able to attend the events organised by the foundation.
— Be able to carry out the everyday conversation in Japanese.
— Submit a research plan (for students enrolling in a professional graduate school).

HOW TO APPLY:
The eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship with following steps –
Step 1: Fill in the application online by clicking here and generate the Application Number for the scholarship program.
Step 2: Download the application form from here.
Step 3: Fill in all the required details in Japanese either by hand-written or typed.
Step 4: Send the application form along with all the required documents through postal mail at the given address –
