Hyderabad: A hospital staffer stole the gold mangalsutra of a patient who came for a brain tumour operation at the Kamala Hospital in Dilsukhnagar on Monday. However after the police was called by the hospital management, the thief got frightened of the consequences and kept the chain under the patient’s bed and fled.
Sadly the patient, Vijayalakshmi, died. Police identified three suspects. However while the interrogation was in progress one of the patient’s relatives found the chain under the patient’s bed.
The mangalsutra might have been removed by the staff while the patient was being taken for a CT scan to a diagnostic centre nearby.
