Srinagar: Two militants were killed on Tuesday in a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Their bodies have been recovered from the Mir Mohalla area in Tral region.
The police stated that “We have also recovered two AK-47 rifles. A combing operation is underway.” The house the militants took shelter in was completely destroyed in the gun battle that had started on Monday evening.
Debris of the house which was damaged during the encounter, In which two Hizb militants were hiding. The encounter broke out between militants and security forces after Mirpora Village in Tral area of South Kashmir was cordoned on Monday evening.
Security forces cordoned off the area after getting credible inputs of militants hiding there, says police. In a night-long gunfight 2, Local Hizb militants were killed. Mobile Internet services in the town were suspended.
