Islamic scholar Mr Nouman Ali Khan presents a practical solution for dealing with blasphemy. He suggests we should not react to blasphemy the way we react, instead, we should ignore it. He gave three reasons for this. Firstly it is the Sunnah way of reacting. Secondly, usually when the dogs bark we don’t react to it, instead we let them do so believing that it is their nature. Thirdly, by reacting to them we help them achieve their goal; they want money and publicity. That’s what we provide them by reacting to their remarks.
Mr Noman Ali Khan suggested that the best way to deal with blasphemy is that, there should be defamation laws against them because they only understand the language of money. If they are fined for blasphemous remarks against the Prophet (pbuh), automatically they’ll stop committing blasphemy.
