MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan revealed that his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with throat cancer and will undergo surgery for the same on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019, Hrithik took to Instagram to share heartbreaking news.
“Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldnt miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. .Love you Dad,” Hrithik captioned the picture in which he is seen along with his dad in the gym.
A Bollywood actor-turned-director made a name for himself through the 1970s and 1980s and has delivered multiple hits as a director with titles like Karan Arjun, Koi Mil Gaya, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and the superhero series Krrish.
His daughter Sunaina Roshan is a survivor of cervical cancer.
