Hyderabad: 17-year-old girl commits suicide due to fear of failure in Intermediate exams

Hyderabad: With the apprehension of failing in examination, a 17-year-old girl committed suicide. This incident took place in Kalapather on Tuesday.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, an intermediate student committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Khaja Pahad, Kalapather. Police suspects that the girl took this extreme step as she was worried about her exam results.

As per Kalapather police, the victim, Shahjahan Begum had backlogs. Recently, she appeared for two exams. However, after the exam, the girl cried as she failed to perform well in the exam.

Depressed over this, she committed suicide by hanging herself in the absence of her parents. After the incident, she was rushed to Osmania General Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared her dead.

Police registered a case. Girl’s dead body was handed over to her family after conducting a post-mortem.
