Hyderabad: A woman killed her husband while he was sleeping following a row between the couple and surrendered herself before the police. The incident occurred under Jagadgirigutta police station limits on Tuesday morning.
As reported by Times of India 31-year-old Khairunnisa was fed up with daily harassment by her husband. She is the resident of Jagadgirigutta. On Tuesday she hit her husband Shafiuddin on the head with an iron rod.
ToI has quoted Jagadgirigutta inspector Srinivasulu as saying, “Shafiuddin was addicted to alcohol and had been harassing her for the past few years. Around 1 am on Tuesday, they had a fight. The man asked her to get money even by doing prostitution. When she refused, he thrashed her.”
Vexed with his behaviour, Khairunnisa took an iron rod and hit her husband on the head while he was asleep. She later surrendered before the police.
Police arrested her and booked for murder.
