Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption bureau sleuths have caught a sub-inspector red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
The SI was posted at Moghulpura police station was caught after the complainant approached the ACB after the SI demanded the bribe for settling a conflict with another businessman, Hansreports.
The ACB laid a trap and caught the SI red-handed. According to sources, complainant Raheem had a conflict with another businessman and approached the Police to take legal action against him.
To his surprise, the SI Babu threatened to arrest Raheem and demanded Rs 30,000 for not recommending Raheem and his brother’s name to Revenue Officer for taking an action.
