Hyderabad airport on high alert after the arrest of ISIS operatives

Hyderabad: Shamshabad airport and several other sensitive places in Hyderabad have been put on high alert following the arrest of 13 IS operatives on Wednesday.

A massive destruction with serial bomb blasts was planned during Eid by the ISIS operatives who entered the city about three months back with the help of their supporters in old city after communicating on Facebook.

The National Investigative Agency (NIA) teams along with Telangana police conducted raids at several places – Mir Chowk, Talab Katta, Hafiz Baba Nagar, Hussaini Alam, Moghalpura, Bhavaninagar, Falaknuma, and Chandrayanagutta since Tuesday night and arrested the terror group members. The NIA teams also recovered a huge cache of explosives, guns and Rs 15 lakh from them.
