An astrologer Narasimha Charyulu of ‘Bhavishyavani’ at Vanasthalipuram was arrested by the Rachakonday police today for asking half-naked photographs of women, who approached him to help solve their problems.
The police said Narasimha Charyulu was running ‘Bhavishyavani’ office at Vanasthalipuram and claimed that some political leaders in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have achieved high positions and fame only because of him. As there was a good demand for astrology in the city, Narasimha Charyulu was making money.
When he started receiving customers, the astrologer started seeking half-naked photographs of the customers to solve their problems. He had even misbehaved with college students in the name of offering special prayers for their benefit. It was also learnt that Narasimha Charyulu took money from VIPs and politicians promising them of performing pujas. Five cheating cases have already been registered against Narasimha Charyulu in various police stations in the city. The police also recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash and a pistol from the accused. (NSS)
