Hyderabad: Attempt to extend temple at Salarjung Museum foiled

Hyderabad: Police on Monday foiled an attempt to extend the temple near the entrance of Salarjung Museum. As soon as the police arrived the labour carrying out the construction work fled. The construction work was undertaken by putting up plastic sheets on the busy road of Salarjung Museum. When made a complaint South Zone Commission GHMC shrugged shoulders and advised the complainant to approach the police.

On receipt of information, the local police officials sprang into action and ordered ACP Mir Chowk to inspect the site. The ACP after complete inspection submitted the report to higher officials.

According to the sources, VH Shrawan Kumar resident of Noor Khan Bazar had made such attempt 4 years ago as well, which was also foiled by the police.

According to police officials, the temple was being extended with the help of bricks and iron rods. However, police intervened and stalled the construction.
