Hyderabad: Chaddi gang busted, three held

Hyderabad: A specially constituted police team of Rachakonda commissionerate on August 1 busted a notorious inter-State “Chaddi gang” of Gujarat by arresting three members identified as Kishab Badhiya, Ravoji and Bharath. The police also recovered 100 grams gold, one kilogram silver ornaments and a cash of Rs 3,000 from the trio.

Police said the accused were involved in 28 offences of Night House Burglaries in the two Telugu States. The Chaddi gang committed offences under the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate in January this year. Therefore, the Rachakonda Commissioner constituted a special team comprising T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector, SOT LB Nagar, M. Kashi Vishwanath, Inspector, CCS LB Nagar and Madhusudhan, DI of Meerpet PS to apprehend the gang. The teams worked for six months and visited Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chattiagarh and Gujarat and traced the movements of the offenders in Dahod district of Gujarat stepped up surveillance on the movements of offenders.

Today, on receipt of the information that some non-Telugu speaking persons are sighted in thick bushes near ORR under Adibatla Poice limits, the SOT Team led by Inspector T. Ravi Kumar and others rushed to spot and surrounded the area and searched in the bushes and caught three suspects, who did not know the local language. They were brought to the Meerpet PS and verified their finger prints which matched with their involvement in previous crime record.

On thorough questioning, they revealed their names as Kishan Badhiya, Ravoji and Bharath Singh of Gujarat and confessed they came to Hyderabad to commit property offences. They also confessed they were members of the Chaddi Gangs of Dahod district of Gujarat and committed offences in Rachakonda, Cyberabad, Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh since 2010.
