Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat invoked PD Act against two persons in a connection with drug peddling cases registered against them.
The accused identified as Aitha Ramesh and Ruttala Ram Babu were involved in three cases of methamphetamine drug trafficking registered by the Rachakonda Police and Narcotics Control Bureau, TT reports.
Previously accused Ramesh worked in chemical and pharma companies at Nacharam and Mallapur, and later went on to start his own company at Nacharam to manufacture various chemical compounds, which he supplied to other companies.
It was during of his business visits to Bangkok, Thailand and Malaysia he came across Khan, a peddler of psychotropic substances, in Singapore.
Since the encounter, Ramesh started peddling drugs through Khan, police said.
