Hyderabad: RTC buses will soon ply sans conductors and the passengers will get their ticket through swipe machine.

4 smart card swiping machines will be installed in each bus;

According to the authorities, all the RTC buses in GHMC limits will have two swiping machines on each door. Conductor-less buses will be introduced on the lines of London and other cities of the world where Automatic Fare Collection system (AFC) with the help of smart cards is being implemented. Conductor-less buses will have radio frequency identification (RFID) card readers, video surveillance, passenger information monitoring system and pneumatic doors. The RFID-based system was tested and is successfully being implemented in the above-mentioned cities.
