Hyderabad: Counting of votes on Thursday, prohibitory orders promulgated

Hyderabad: In the wake of the counting of votes on Thursday, Hyderabad City Police is posted three-tier security at the counting stations.

City Police Commissioner of Hyderabad promulgated prohibitory orders in the city. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Anjani Kumar and GHMC Commissioner, Mr. Dana Kishore visited various police stations in the city and reviewed security arrangements.

Mr. Kumar told that in addition to city police personnel, city Armed Forces and Para-Military Forces are also being deployed in order to ensure security at counting stations.

At every counting station, a police officer of the status of ACP has been posted whereas Deputy Commissioners of Police will supervise the arrangements.

According to the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Section 144 of IPC will be operative in the vicinity of counting stations.

There is a ban on the assemblage of five or more persons around the counting stations.

Within one kilometre of such areas, there will be no permission to take out any rally, procession or conduct a meeting. Mr. Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police will maintain contacts with all the police officers through video conferencing.
