Hyderabad: On Wednesday, doctors staged a protest over the safety of hospital staff. This protest was held after the family members of the deceased patient damaged hospital property.
Slogans, “Save Doctors”, “Save life” were raised during the protest. They were also holding placards.
Talking to media persons, one of the doctors said that doctors are not God. They try to cure the disease of the patient, he said.
It may be mentioned that a woman by name Shameen Begum had died during the treatment in the hospital. This incident had triggered violence on the premises of Gleneagles Global Hospital, Lakdikapul on Monday.
It may be noted that the kin of the patient alleges that the reason behind Shameen’s death is medical negligence.
On the other hand, hospital management stated that the patient was suffering from Swine Flu and Interstitial Lung Disease.
