Hyderabad: A man landed in jail for molesting his daughter. The court sentenced him for three years imprisonment.
According to the details of the case, Mahender alias Mahesh (28), a resident of Jaleelguda, Balapur had molested his daughter in an intoxicated condition in 2016.
After receiving the complaint, Meerpet Police had registered a case and submitted the investigation report to the court. On the basis of the evidence produced and the investigation report, the judge sentenced him for three years imprisonment.
It may be mentioned that despite stringent laws like POCSO, Anti-Dowry Act, Nirbhaya Act, etc., and campaigns such as #MeToo, it seems that crimes against women are not getting eradicated.
