Hyderabad: Hakim Syed Abbas Peer Quadri who was booked on the charges of alleged sorcery and spiritual healing by Chandrayangutta Police, attempts suicide by consuming tablets on the wee hours of Tuesday. He was rushed to Aditya Hospital in unconscious state. According to the sources, his condition remains critical.
He alleged harassment by Police in his suicide note which is written in Urdu. According to his relatives, police official suspecting him for his alleged involvement in kidnapping and marrying a girl Sabeena Begum.
However, South Zone police on March 14 performed cardon and search operation in Ghouse Nagar area of Bandlaguda under Chandrayangutta limits and booked Quadri on the charges of alleged sorcery and spiritual healing.
Quadri under going treatment in Aditya Hospital in Hyderabad.
