Hyderabad: Hatred between brothers leaves 1 dead

The money which two brothers got by selling their family property led to hatred between two brothers and claimed the life of one of them. The Miyapur police have identified the brothers as P. Ramdas, 40, now dead, and P. Ravindhar, 22, the accused.

When elder brother Ramdas was sleeping at his house on Sunday night, the younger brother Ravindhar and Sai slit the victim’s throat with a knife, following which Ravindhar surrendered to the Miyapur police.

The brothers sold their house in an auction for Rs 15 lakh and took Rs 4 lakh as advance. Ramdas was an alcoholic and used to argue with his wife following which she went to her maternal house along with her kids. Ramdas came to stay in his parents’ house where the accused brother, Ravindhar, also stayed and started quarrelling with his family members demanding the money which they got on the sale of their house.

“On Sunday morning also Ramdas warned that the money should be arranged or there would be dire consequences. He even threatened to kill them. This led to Ravindhar deciding to eliminate his brother and with the help of his friend Sai, 21, he hatched a plan.” Inspector of police, Miyapur police station S. Venkatesh said.

The police have registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and arrested Sai and sent them to judicial custody.
