Hyderabad: Man killed wife as she wanted to separate

Hyderabad: A woman was strangled to death by her third husband after she asked for a divorce. According to the Saroornagar inspector N. Ch. Rangaswamy, Kavitha, 28, and Gopal Chary, 32, got married last year.

Kavitha had earlier got married to two people and separated from them. She was an orphan and a vagabond (person who wanders from place to place without a home or job).

Kavitha had aborted her pregnancy as she was not interested in living with Gopal anymore, but when Gopal came to know about this the do had a quarrel over this issue and in a fit of rage, he throttled her to death.

Later, after killing Kavitha, Gopal consumed acid (toilet cleaner) to commit suicide but was rescued. His neighbours alerted the police, who rushed to him to Osmania General Hospital for treatment where his condition is set to be stable now.

Police said that a case has been registered under Section 302 of IPC against Gopal and further investigation would take place to find where the Kavitha got aborted.
