Hyderabad: man suffocates self to death using gas cylinder

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident occurred at Yadav Nagar in Chaitanyapuri, a man allegedly committed suicide by inhaling Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

According to sources, Anurag (32), tied up his face in a plastic bag and put the gas pipe into his mouth and suffocated himself to death. He was a private bank employee.

As reported by Telangana Today, the incident came to light on Sunday evening after neighbours sensed gas leakage from the house.

Anurag was supposed to take a flight with his parents to Tirupati from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday around 4.30 pm. But he sent them first to airport in a cab saying he would follow on his bike. However, he went back into the house instead and committed suicide.

According to Chaitanyapuri police, Anurag had frequent arguments with his parents over his marriage. His body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue and was handed over to the family on Monday after post-mortem.
