Hyderabad: Massive protest was staged in several parts of the twin cities Hyderabad and Secunderabad against government’s silence on Makkah Masjid blast judgment and rape incidents. Despite opposition for public bandh by the political leaders, people voluntarily observed bandh.
The protest was made at Amberpet, Secunderabad, Lakdi ka pul, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki, Santoshnagar, Moghalpura, and Shah Ali Banda. The peaceful protest jittered various political and religious leaders. Banners and posters were put up in various places.
18 rallies reached Charminar from various places after Friday prayers. They demanded the execution of accused in the rape case. They shouted slogans against injustice in Makkah Masjid case.
