Hyderabad Metro Rail to become functional on this route from September 24

Hyderabad: Another metro line will get functional in the city from today. Governor of AP and Telangana, Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan will inaugurate Metro Rail covering Ameerpet-LB Nagar route.

According to the Hyderabad Metro Rail MD, Mr. NVS Reddy, Metro Rail Safety Commissioner has issued safety certificate for plying the train.

This railway route covers an area of 16 km which will complete a distance of 29 km from Miyapur to LB Nagar.

It may be mentioned that the 72 km long Hyderabad Metro Rail is the longest rail project in the world.

It may be recalled that in November 2017, PM Modi had inaugurated metro rail covering 30 km distance from Miyapur to Nagole.

Mr. Reddy further informed that with commissioning of Ameerpet-LB Nagar route, Metro Rail will now cover a distance of 46 km which is the second largest metro rail project after Delhi. He also told that 10 km long Ameerpet-Hitech city route will start functioning in December this year whereas another metro rail route covering an area of 10 km from Jubilee Bus Station to Imliban Bus Station will start functioning in 2019.
