Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase I to be operational in November – Know everything about it

Hyderabad: On Thursday, Government of Telangana decided to start the first phase of Hyderabad metro rail project in November and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate it.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today wrote a letter to the prime minister in this regard, a release from the Chief Minister’s office said. Trail run has been successful and security clearances have also been obtained, the release said.

It may be mentioned that the construction of Metro Rail which is Public Private Partnership (PPP) project is going on in three phases covering an area of 72 kms.

The first phase will cover a total distance of 30 kms and there will be 25 stations along the Nagole-Miyapur stretch.

According to the report of Telangana Today, each train has 3 coaches and it can accommodate 1000 passengers. One Metro Train will arrive in every 10 minutes.

It is also reported this project will cut down the traveling time from Nagole to Miyapur or from Miyapur to Nagole from 90 minutes to 45 minutes.
