Hyderabad: Minor sexually assaulted, teacher held

Hyderabad: In yet another shameful incident, a 29-year-old chemistry teacher allegedly sexually assaulted a minor boy. Cyber Cell police, Cyberabad arrested the accused.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, the incident came to limelight after Balala Hakkula Sangham approached the police.

As per the details furnished by the police, the suspect is identified as Srikanth Powar alias Kushal. He is a resident of Kukatpally and works in a school as a Chemistry teacher. When the victim came to the city on summer vacation, stayed at the accused’s residence. The victim is a minor cousin of the accused.

Giving the details of the case, Mr. CH Y Srinivas Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyber Cell told that the accused assaulted the victim when he slept beside him. However, the victim did not report the incident to his parents.

The crime came to limelight when BHS members saw the Powar’s conversation in a group. The accused had created this group for LGBT community.

Talking about the case, BHS honorary president Achyutha Rao told that screenshots of the conversation were submitted to police. Police registered a case and the accused is handed over to Kukatpally Police. Further investigation is on.
