Hyderabad: Heera Gold Group Managing Director Nowhera Shaikh has been formally taken into Enforcement Directorate’s custody for seven days from Chenchalguda Jail.
Along with Nowhera, Biju Thomas and Mouli Thomas were also taken into their custody, Hans reports.
Previously the ED officials had filed a custody petition in the nampally court for which the were granted permission.
Nowhera has come under the radar on suspicion of indulging in money laundering.
The ED sleuths are now questioning her at their office in Basheerbagh.
Several cheating cases have been filed against Nowhera in various states across India including Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra leading to her arrest.
