HYDERABAD: Nowhera’s ‘benami’ held

HYDERABAD: Qazi Najmuddin, the chairman of Travel Point HR Solutions Pvt Ltd was detained by immigration officials at Mumbai airport.

According to Telangana Today report, Najamuddin was said to be the ‘benami’ of Heera Group of Companies Managing Director, Nowhera Shaik. Presently she is in the custody of the Central Crime Station (CCS) police till February 20.

It may be noted that Maulana Jaffar Pasha had registered a complaint at the Meerchowk Police Station on January 22 against Najmuddin. According to his family members, immigration officials detained him after he landed from Dubai.

Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, president of Heera Group Victims Association said, “There were allegations that Nowhera’s properties worth crores were in the hands of Najamuddin and cases were registered against him in different police stations in the city.”

Khan demanded the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a detailed probe into the scam as several cases were pending against Shaikh in Telangana, AP, Maharashtra and other States.

The city police also facilitated the victims of Heera Group fraud to lodge complaints against Nowhera Shaikh in any police station in the city.
