Hyderabad: On Thursday, Neredmet police arrested an Ola cab driver, who allegedly misbehaved a female model by touching her inappropriately.
A week ago, the female lodged a complaint with Neredmet police saying she had taken a cab (TS 12 UB 1200) from Chikkadpally to her house in Sainathpuram.
Soon when she gets down the cab, the cabbie misbehaved with her and also held her hand asking her to allow him to stay in her house for some time.
However, the woman managed to get rid of him and rushed inside the house. Later the cabbie continued calling her and harassed her.
A. Narasimha Swamy, Neredmet inspector said, “The accused misbehaved with the woman passengers and used vulgar language towards her and outraged her modesty.”
A case was registered by the police under sections 354 A and 354 D of IPC who nabbed Ajar (20), driver of the Ola cab from Adityanagar in Hafeezpet of Miyapur on Thursday.
He is arrested and produced before the court for judicial remand, added Neredmet inspector.
