Hyderabad: Plan to construct “Skywalks” in city

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has identified 23 places for the construction of “Skywalks”. These are the places where there is a traffic problem. Due to the congestion of traffic, pedestrians face a lot of difficulties to cross the road.

HMDA has plans to construct “Skywalks” at Madina Junction, Secunderabad Railway Station and Dilsuknagar Junction in the first phase. In the second phase, “Skywalks” will be constructed at JNTU Junction, Paradise, Uppdal, Azalgunj, Kothi, Lakdikapul Petrol Bunk, Ameerpet, Owaisi Junction, Bowenpally Junction, RTC crossroads, Khairiatabad, SR Nagar and ECIL junction.

The purpose of constructing these “Skywalks’ is to facilitate pedestrians. These “Skywalks” will have banners and hoardings which will encourage commercial companies to advertise their products. It will also generate income.
