Hyderabad: Police arrests five men for posing as cops, threatening person

Hyderabad: On Friday, Rachakonda Special Operations Team arrested five men for posing as cops and threatening a person.

According to the news published in DC, the gang includes a software company owner, two job seekers, a constable of armed reserve police and two others. Their names are Subba Rao, Mamindla Kiran Kumar, Bolla Pavan Kumar, Kolapuri Sai Kumar and Bayya Benjohnson.

Grandi Sivanand Swamy, a friend of Kiran Kumar recently, resigned from his job due to medical reasons and shifted to Boduppal.

Kiran informed his gang member that Swamy runs a brothel in Amberpet. After getting this information, members of the gang decided to threatened Swamy.

Kiran went to the house of victim in police uniform and threatened him. He said that a case will be booked against him if he does not pay Rs. 2 lakh. Swamy agreed to give Rs. 1 lakh and paid Rs. 63,000.

However, later, he lodged a complaint.

Based on his complaint, police arrested all five members of the gang.
