Hyderabad: Teacher cut girl’s hair

A private school teacher in Hyderabad allegedly cut the braid of a class IV girl student in St Stephens High School in Yacharam in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday because the girl had worn blue ribbons instead of black as per the school dress code.

This is not for the first time, earlier this month similar incident took place where a girl was punished for not tying her hair as per school dress code. We do not understand why schools are imposing a dress code on students and punishing them for not following it,” Achyuta Rao, the honorary president said.

A video went viral just last month in which a government school teacher was seen getting a head massage inside her classroom. In another incident on June 21, a class IV student of Oxford Grammar School in Himayatnagar was allegedly thrashed by a teacher for not tying her hair properly.
