Hyderabad: These incidents highlight how Muslim girls become victims due to ignorance of values

Hyderabad: During the past 15 days, the names of Syeda Shannu and Syeda Asra have been hitting the headlines of the newspapers. A 17-year-old girl jumped from the hostel and committed suicide. Syeda Shannu (30) having spent married life for 12 years with her husband Haneef sought divorce and started living with Rakesh. After four years of relationship with Rakesh, she insisted him to marry her. Rakesh denied her request and set her ablaze.

It has been observed that Muslim girls are indulging in un-Islamic activities due to lack of religious values. It is the responsibility of the mothers to impart religious education to their daughters right from their childhood. It is the need of the hour to protect the religious faith of the Muslim girls.

Commenting on the present scenario, Mufti Ashfaq Ahmed advised the parents to stop their daughter from wearing a un-Islamic dress. He stressed that there is a need for the parents to explain “Surah Noor” to their daughters.

It may be mentioned that in “Surah Noor”, serious punishments are mentioned for the girls who wear un-Islamic dresses.

In the light of these observations, it becomes imperative for the mothers to start teaching Islamic values to their children right from their childhood.
