Hyderabad: Tree on road becomes worship place, tension may trigger

Hyderabad: The busy locality of Karkhana in Secunderabad which is famous for exhibiting its Ganga-Jamuna Civilization has now become the center of attention these days due to the Puja that is being offered to a tree located in the midst of the busy road near Jubilee Hills Bus Station.

This crossroad leads to Siddipet and Kareemnagar via Alwal. A few yards from the Hindu locality, there is a Dargah of Lala Shah adjacent to Jamia Masjid. The weekly market of this area which is organized every Sunday makes everything available at one place.

For the past few days, the residents of the area are worried about the gigantic old tree located in the center of the road which has now become a temple where devotees offer floral tributes. Due to heavy traffic, no one dares standing at the place but a few days back, a man and a woman were found performing Pooja to the said tree. This photo got viral on social media. The local residents are worried that in the days to come, it may create traffic problems and religious conflicts. The authorities should take appropriate steps to eradicate such apprehensions permanently.
